Queeery Art Fest – XY ∞ X: Oltre il Biologico è un luogo di esplorazione e confronto collettivo sull’identità, sul corpo e sulla molteplicità dei linguaggi espressivi. L’iniziativa nasce dal desiderio di andare oltre le rigidità della biologia, che spesso definiscono l’individuo in maniera fissa, aprendo invece spazi di libertà in cui l’arte diventa strumento di indagine, sperimentazione e visione alternativa della realtà.

In questo contesto, il queer non è solo una categoria politica o estetica: è una lente attraverso cui osservare, trasformare e ampliare le possibilità creative. Ogni progetto che sfida convenzioni, rilegge codici consolidati o reinventa forme di espressione ha spazio in questa call.

COSA CERCHIAMO

Cerchiamo artisti visivi che vogliano proporre opere o progetti capaci di interrogare, raccontare e ampliare il concetto di identità e corporeità.

OBIETTIVI DEL PROGETTO

  • Dare visibilità a nuove voci artistiche queer
  • Stimolare pratiche artistiche e performative innovative
  • Creare uno spazio in cui complessità, molteplicità e libertà creativa siano centrali
  • Mappare tendenze e linguaggi contemporanei dell’arte queer

SELEZIONE

La selezione sarà curata da una commissione composta da professionisti del settore. I criteri principali saranno:

  • Originalità e forza del progetto
  • Coerenza con il concept
  • Qualità estetica e potenziale evolutivo
  • Capacità di dialogare con lo spazio e la città

LA MOSTRA

Queeery Art Fest si realizzerà come sezione tematica all’interno della fiera collettiva ULTRA — Una mostra ultra-contemporanea, che si terrà dal 23 ottobre al 6 novembre 2025 presso Palazzo Provana di Collegno, a Torino.
ULTRA è la fiera che esplora il presente più spinto dell’arte, dando spazio a giovani artisti e curatori emergenti e a pratiche ultra-contemporanee che dialogano con estetica, società e tecnologia. All’interno di ULTRA, le opere selezionate di Queeery Art Fest saranno esposte come sezione tematica, mantenendo il proprio concept e la propria identità, ma inserite in un contesto più ampio di visibilità e scambio creativo.

OPEN CALL – QUEEERY ART FEST 🌈 XY ∞ X: BEYOND THE BIOLOGICAL

Queeery Art Fest – XY ∞ X: Beyond the Biological is a space for exploration and collective dialogue on identity, the body, and the multiplicity of expressive languages. The initiative was born from the desire to go beyond the constraints of biology, which often define individuals in fixed ways, opening instead spaces of freedom where art becomes a tool for investigation, experimentation, and alternative ways of seeing reality.

In this context, queer is not only a political or aesthetic category: it is a lens through which to observe, transform, and expand creative possibilities. Any project that challenges conventions, reinterprets established codes, or reinvents forms of expression has a place in this call.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking visual artists who wish to propose works or projects capable of interrogating, representing, and expanding the concept of identity and corporeality.

The call is open to individual artists as well as collaborative projects.

PROJECT GOALS

  • Give visibility to emerging queer artistic voices
  • Stimulate innovative artistic and performative practices
  • Create a space where complexity, multiplicity, and creative freedom are central
  • Map current trends and languages in contemporary queer art

SELECTION

The selection will be curated by a panel of industry professionals. The main criteria are:

  • Originality and strength of the project
  • Coherence with the festival concept
  • Aesthetic quality and evolutionary potential
  • Ability to engage with the space and the city

THE EXHIBITION

Queeery Art Fest will take place as a thematic section within the collective fair ULTRA — An Ultra-Contemporary Exhibition, held from October 23 to November 6, 2025 at Palazzo Provana di Collegno, Turin.
ULTRA is a fair that explores the most cutting-edge aspects of contemporary art, providing space for young emerging artists and curators, as well as ultra-contemporary practices that engage with aesthetics, society, and technology. Within ULTRA, the selected works of Queeery Art Fest will be exhibited as a thematic section, maintaining their own concept and identity, while being part of a broader context of visibility and creative exchange.
