My artistic practice often revolves around perception, transformation, and the inner dialogue between the self and the world. The work After Picasso emerged from this exploration. It reflects influence, fragmentation, and the moment when inspiration turns into individuality. It is not an imitation but a dialogue between past and present, between what we inherit and what we create anew.

After Picasso is a portrait that explores the inner structure of the human face, what lies beneath the visible surface. The work is inspired by Picasso’s freedom to merge form and emotion, translating this idea into a contemporary, intuitive visual language.

The color blue plays a central role. It refers to Picasso’s Blue Period but also to my personal connection with this color. Since childhood, I have felt deeply drawn to blue; for me, it represents depth, stillness, and emotional clarity. In After Picasso, blue becomes a unifying element between intuition and structure, emotion and form.

The work is not only a homage but also an independent investigation into how artistic influences continue to live on, transformed through personal perception and reimagined in a new expression.
