Biografia

Maria Sky (Russia, 1997) is a visual artist working with sculpture, installation, photography, and digital media. Her interdisciplinary practice explores space as a living material and focuses on organic matter, ecological processes, and non-anthropocentric strategies. Educated in Italy, France, Switzerland, and Germany, she graduated with honors in Sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna under the guidance of Massimo Bartolini. Her works have been presented in contexts such as the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2025) within the project TerraeAque, and are part of permanent exposition of young Italian artists at Rocca Albornoz, Narni

Sky has participated in international residencies and programs such as Nuovo Grand Tour / Institut Français – Domaine de Boisbuchet (France), and the Germinale Festival (Italy).
In 2026, her work will also be part of a permanent installation within a public collection in central Italy, Gran Sasso.
