Il ritratto non è solo rappresentazione, ma interpretazione. È lo specchio di un’epoca, di una condizione, di un’emozione. Con questa call vogliamo indagare il potere del volto umano e del ritratto in tutte le sue forme – pittoriche, fotografiche, digitali o concettuali – come strumento di esplorazione dell’identità individuale e collettiva.

PORTRAITS è un invito a raccontare l’essere umano attraverso lo sguardo dell’altro: intimo, politico, ironico, astratto, vulnerabile o potente.
Ogni volto è una storia. Ogni ritratto è una scelta.

Cerchiamo opere capaci di emozionare, interrogare, sorprendere. Che si tratti di autoritratti, volti noti o immaginari, ciò che conta è la capacità dell’artista di rendere visibile l’invisibile: un pensiero, un’identità, una fragilità, un’urgenza.

A portrait is not just a representation — it is an interpretation. It mirrors an era, a condition, an emotion. With this call, we aim to explore the power of the human face and of portraiture in all its forms — pictorial, photographic, digital or conceptual — as a tool for investigating individual and collective identity.

PORTRAITS is an invitation to narrate the human being through the gaze of another: intimate, political, ironic, abstract, vulnerable or powerful.
Every face is a story. Every portrait is a choice.

We are seeking works capable of moving, questioning, surprising. Whether self-portraits, familiar faces or imagined ones, what matters is the artist’s ability to make the invisible visible: a thought, an identity, a fragility, an urgency.

Chi può partecipare?

La Call è aperta a tutti gli artisti di ogni disciplina che rispettino il tema del ritratto.
Cerchiamo opere che mettano in evidenza la forza dell’assemblaggio come linguaggio artistico, con un forte impatto visivo e una narrazione unica. Siamo alla ricerca di opere che uniscano elementi contrastanti per creare nuovi significati, che esplorino la distorsione della realtà e l’esperienza visiva in modo innovativo.

Ogni artista potrà partecipare con un massimo di tre opere, le cui dimensioni dovranno rispettare le misure indicate. Le opere che eccedono queste misure non saranno prese in considerazione.

Come partecipare

Invia la tua candidatura compilando il form che segue entro il 11 gennaio 2026.
Non dimenticare di includere:

  • Una breve biografia (max 300 parole).
  • Le immagini delle opere proposte (in bassa risoluzione per la candidatura, alta risoluzione sarà richiesta solo in caso di selezione).
  • La descrizione di ciascuna opera.

Fee di partecipazione

  • 2 opere: 80 euro

La fee sarà da versare solo in caso di selezione e non in fase di candidatura.


Esposizione

Le opere selezionate saranno esposte dal 24 al 30 gennaio 2026 presso Con/Temporary Spaces Santa Teresa a Torino, nel cuore della città

Who can participate?

The Call is open to all artists working in any discipline, as long as their work relates to the theme of portraiture.
We are looking for artworks that highlight the power of assemblage as an artistic language, with strong visual impact and a unique narrative. We seek pieces that combine contrasting elements to create new meanings, exploring the distortion of reality and visual experience in innovative ways.

Each artist may submit up to three artworks, which must respect the size requirements indicated. Works exceeding these dimensions will not be considered.

How to participate

Submit your application by completing the form below no later than 11 Jenuary 2026.
Please remember to include:

  • A short biography (max 300 words)
  • Images of the proposed artworks (low resolution for the application; high resolution required only if selected)
  • A description of each artwork

Participation fee

  • 2 artworks: €80

The fee is to be paid only if selected, not during the application process

Exhibition

Selected artworks will be exhibited from 24 to 30 January 2026 at Con/Temporary Spaces Santa Teresa in Turin, in the heart of the city.
