This work presents two aspects of a single human presence positioned face to face. One figure is closer to an essential, lived state of being, while the other represents a level of consciousness that observes, perceives, and reinterprets that very existence from a distance.

Placed in confrontation rather than unity, the figures do not suggest a split identity but rather simultaneous layers of awareness within the same being. One exists within experience, while the other stands as the witness of that experience. The space between them does not signify separation, but rather a necessary field in which self-awareness can emerge.

The viewer is invited to encounter not a fixed notion of “self,” but a continuously shifting condition of existence that is constantly being formed and re-formed. The silent tension between the figures reflects the human condition of being both the one who lives and the one who observes living.
