The rupture—the point where something ends and something new begins—can only be viewed within the whole as part of emergence; only in retrospect does it become clear that the disharmony is part of a rhythm, part of a dynamic that propels the whole forward.
The collage tells the story of endings and beginnings, of ruptures that align and interfaces that form during the process. Worlds of glamour, the perfect garden, and food too exquisite to consume are decontextualized, gaining new perspectives as a unified whole.
Emergence is not a goal to be strived for, but rather a fundamental characteristic of parts that, at the right moment, come together to form something greater than the sum of the individual parts.
