Biografia

Natali Kavas
(b. Ukraine, previously known as Natali Golub) is a textile artist based in Istanbul.
She creates botanical sculptures and photographic works using fabric, fiber, and wire. Through these forms, she explores nature as a reflection of inner human states — vulnerability, transformation, connection, and the gradual process of becoming.
With a background in design and more than fifteen years of experience in the film industry as a stylist and costume designer, she brings a strong sensitivity to material, composition, light, and atmosphere.
Since 2017, Kavas has been developing a distinctive textile-based botanical practice shaped by close observation of natural forms and the mindful use of reclaimed fabrics. Alongside her sculptural work, she creates photographic series in collaboration with photographer Kahraman Kavas, where the objects are reinterpreted through light and atmosphere as independent photographic works.
Her collaborative projects have been presented in a contemporary art gallery (Israel, group exhibition, May 2025) and featured in an international art magazine (Spring 2025).
