I am Pien ten Voorde, a designer and printmaker based in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. My current practice Studio Lupiene centers on linocut printmaking, inspired by the quiet beauty, patterns, and rhythms of the natural world.

What draws me to linocut is the process itself. I enjoy working slowly, carving and printing layer by layer, allowing each stage to build towards the final image. Because every cut is permanent, the process requires patience, trust, and acceptance.

Through my work, I hope to encourage people to slow down, look more closely, and reconnect with the natural world. My guiding motto comes from the song Gajumaru by Yaima: "My life's work is to honor the great beauty all around you."
