Biografia
Marina Reutova (b. 1993) is a Russian-born multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the relationship between consciousness and form. Working primarily with painting and mixed media, she investigates archetypes, femininity, and spiritual inquiry as pathways to self-discovery and transformation. Self-taught, Reutova approaches painting as a dialogue rather than a means of illustration. Her works emerge through intuition and contemplation, in which meaning is gradually revealed rather than predetermined. Acrylic, mixed media, 23-karat gold leaf, and 925 silver leaf form the distinctive visual language of her practice. Gold leaf evokes sacredness, echoing the language of icons and symbolizing pure energy, while silver leaf speaks to intuition and lunar reflection — the sun offering strength, the moon absorbing our unrest. Having found a spiritual home in yoga, Reutova is attentive to the vibration carried by mantra and sacred words, seeking to capture this vibration within the painted surface through hidden mantras and encoded messages. Her practice unfolds through several interconnected bodies of work. Women explores femininity as a dynamic force of transformation, fluidity, and embodied experience. The Fool’s Journey reimagines the archetypes of the Tarot of Marseille, transforming inherited symbols into lived experiences and inviting viewers into self-inquiry. Reutova has also translated her paintings into scarves, extending her visual language into wearable art. She teaches creativity through painting and mixed media, integrating TriYoga PranaVidya — a yogic practice of breath, concentration, and meditation.
