Fragments of photographic images are integrated into plaster-coated surfaces, where they are partially covered, altered, or absorbed by the pictorial matter. The reproduced image thus becomes an event unfolding on the surface—something that emerges through the material rather than simply representing a scene.

The thickness of the plaster, the resistance of the surface, and the time required for the materials to dry introduce a slower temporality into both the creative process and the act of looking. Figures emerge and recede as the viewer’s gaze moves across the work. Suspended between visibility and disappearance, these fragmented images act as crystallizations of memory, fixing the vision of an instant within the material.
