Descrizione: The Come and Go body of work consists of “portrait slippers.” I employ hand embroidery in an innovative way, breaking with traditional portraiture conventions.

These portrait shoes intertwine absence and presence, as well as loved ones and the passage of time.

“While working on this series, I began to see my life in a new light. There is no final farewell; instead, the void left by separation transforms into presence. The symbolism of the work is tied to presence and absence, birth and death. As the embroidery takes shape—stitch by stitch—the person’s presence endures in the piece, even if they themselves are absent.”
