Giovanni Giusti is a photographer and visual artist based in Milan, Italy. His practice moves between analogue and digital photography, with a particular interest in portraiture, fashion, documentary and visual research. Working across different formats, from 35mm to 4×5 large-format photography, he approaches photography as a way of observing people, places and the subtle relationships that exist between them. His work is shaped by a strong interest in the physical and editorial dimensions of photography, from darkroom processes and printing to image sequencing, archives and photobook-making. Alongside his photographic practice, from 2023 to 2025 he founded and directed ZERONEGATIVO Festival in Florence, working on its artistic direction, exhibitions and cultural programming. His personal work is driven by curiosity, intimacy and a desire to explore the connection between people and the environments they inhabit.
