Charlotte Marie Peters is a German filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist. Her work spans documentary film, performance, and painting, with a consistent focus on female identity, inner life, and the tension between societal expectation and personal truth.
Growing up, she spent her summers in Italy — a country that became a second home and a formative artistic influence. Classical painting and the Italian sensibility for beauty, richness of color, the weight of light, the human form as a vessel for emotion, left a lasting mark on her visual language. These influences meet a contemporary urgency: figures that are at once composed and untamed, adorned and uncontained.
She is currently in development on her debut feature documentary The Rabbi’s Ex with producer Susan Gluth.
