Biografia
I am a Dublin (Ireland) based textile artist working through the medium of felt making and hand stitching.
Born in 1966, a former theatre set and costume designer working in that field till 2010. I switched to my childhood passion of textiles, particularly wool and am a self taught felt maker and artist.
I am a member of Feltmakers Ireland guild, International Feltmakers and Sow’s Ear Art Collective.
Exhibitions and gallery residencies
May 13th -June 7th 2026 exhibited in the “Empathy” miniature textiles exhibition with Slovakian Association of Textile Artists at Galeria Umelka, Bratislava,
Exhibited with Feltmakers Ireland annual exhibitions 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.
Exhibited at the National Botanic Gardens annual exhibition “Sculpture in Context” 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2025. Judged exhibition.
Commission for a large 2.4m x 7m felted and intricately hand stitched wall hanging for a private collection London, England. 2020
Invited to exhibit a collection of my work at the Moy Mackay gallery in Peebles, Scotland. 2021 and at the Oxenham Art Gallery in Leominster,
3 art works at Design Crafts Council of Ireland’s (DCCI) group exhibition “Common Threads” at the Kilkenny Design Gallery. 2025
Two group exhibitions “Taking Shape” with Sow’s Ear Art Collective in Dublin. 2025
