Biografia

Lina Poluna (b. 1998) is an oil painter based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Her work explores
psychological tension through images of animals, human figures, and the nude body.
Working within dark, calm, and slightly unsettling atmospheres, she examines emotional
states that exist beneath visible stillness.
Poluna began her artistic practice through academic drawing studies with a private
instructor before working as a tattoo artist from 2019. This experience shaped her sensitivity
to the body as both image and surface — a place where memory, vulnerability, and
transformation intersect.
Her paintings often balance between fragility and restraint, where quiet compositions carry
an undercurrent of unease. Animals and human figures appear as emotional carriers rather
than narrative subjects, inhabiting spaces that feel suspended between protection and
confinement.
