Biografia
Merve Aydar focuses on the interactions between nature, humanity, and society in her artistic production, adopting an approach that questions the destructive impact of human beings on the natural environment and the structure of modern life that alienates the individual from nature.
Embracing an interdisciplinary perspective that prioritizes the conceptual dimension, combines diverse mediums such as painting, sculpture, photography, and printmaking; she configures her choice of technique and material to form an integrated structure with the conceptual framework of her works. Addressing themes such as the cyclical nature of ecology, the position of humanity within the ecosystem, and the effects of urban life on the individual through a metaphorical language, the artist completed her BFA and MFA degrees at Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Painting. She is currently pursuing her Proficiency in Art (PhD) in Painting at the same institution.
