I was born in 2004 to a Laz family; officially my name is Nil, but within my family I am known as Mjora. My first encounter with art came from my mother, who raised me and taught me how to draw long before I began any formal education. After losing her in 2019, life pushed me into its own chaotic rhythm, but art remained the one steady language I could return to.

I am currently studying Visual Communication Design at Yeditepe University and living on my own in Istanbul, where I continue to explore drawing and visual expression. Without a traditional art-school background, my work grows from personal memory, cultural roots, and the quiet resilience shaped by my experiences. Through each piece, I search for a visual way to hold onto what I’ve lost while creating a space for what I am becoming.
