Biografia
Born in Lleida in 1981, Raül Vázquez moved to Barcelona at the age of 20 to study Fashion Design and Fine Arts at the Escola Superior de Disseny Felicidad Duce, where he graduated in 2005.
Since then, he has developed his career as a textile graphic designer, working for companies within the Inditex group, Tendam group, Primark, Mango, and other international brands.
Thanks to his artistic personality, he has taken part in several solo and group exhibitions in Barcelona, where he currently lives. In addition, he has created illustrations for various national and international magazines, a book, several album covers, and the poster for the documentary El secreto del Dr. Grinberg by Ida Cuéllar. Illustration is one of the strongest aspects of his profile, which also led him to teach for five years at the prestigious LCI Barcelona, where he gave courses in creative fashion illustration.
He has also produced murals for the first edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway and for a British film, Souvenirs by Andy Pearson.
At present, he continues to create textile designs from his own studio, STUDIO RAÜL VÁZQUEZ, for numerous brands, while nurturing his artistic talent. In 2024, he presented his works at the Uxval gallery, at the international Art3f fair held in Barcelona, and at the iconic Raima store on Comtal street.
