Biografia

Victoria Naboka is a Ukrainian-born artist based in Aotearoa New Zealand. Her practice centres on vibrant acrylic paintings and upcycled textile works that explore colour, memory, and transformation. Drawing on personal experiences of migration and cultural transition, she creates compositions that balance structure with intuitive, expressive mark-making.

Her work often combines found materials, bold palettes, and layered surfaces, reflecting themes of resilience, renewal, and the emotional language of colour. Influenced by modernist abstraction and contemporary textile practices, Naboka’s pieces move between painting and object, surface and story.

Victoria’s works have been exhibited in group shows and art prizes, and she continues to develop a practice that connects material experimentation with personal and cultural narratives.
