sabel Patricia Pfohlmann was born in 1993 in Speyer and studied Virtual Design in Kaiserslautern. Since 2018, she has worked as a 3D designer while maintaining a parallel artistic practice in painting — a passion she has carried since childhood.
From 2022 to 2023, she spent a year living in Japan, drawn by a deep fascination with the country’s nature and culture. Today she lives and works in Mannheim.
Isabel finds her inspiration primarily in nature. Plants are living beings she identifies with — they grow and require time and care.
Her painting process unfolds in layers: she begins by applying vibrant acrylic paints across the entire canvas, then develops clear shapes, and finally works with a negative technique — leaving visible only what ultimately reveals the plant.
These layers represent the events, memories, and emotions that shape a person. Through her work, Isabel explores how personality emerges over the course of a life, often drawing from her own experiences.
Although she now lives in Germany again, she maintains a strong connection to Japan and has already participated in a group exhibition there.
