Biografia

Margarita Ghazaryan is a multidisciplinary artist based in Armenia, working primarily with conceptual embroidery and textiles. Drawing upon a background in journalism and art history, her practice is rooted in a keen observation of surrounding realities, personal and collective experiences, and the subtle shifts within social environments. Ghazaryan explores these themes through the language of contemporary art, integrating traditional crafts—specifically embroidery and hand-knotted carpet techniques—with unexpected, everyday objects such as kitchen sieves.

Ghazaryan’s work has been showcased internationally, including the Busan International Environment Art Festival (South Korea), the Summer International Group Exhibition at No.35 Gallery (UK), and "NEVER BEEN THIS LONELY" at Berlin Art Week (HK ART Gallery, Germany). She has also extensively participated in curated group exhibitions, installation festivals, and art residencies across Armenia, organized by prominent cultural institutions, including ACCEA (NPAK), ICA Yerevan/ArtNexus, and the Swiss Foundation for Art in Conflict Regions. Her research-driven practice continuously engages with the complexities of human experience, memory, and the evolving relationships between space, material, and emotion.
