Biografia
Anne Staveley and Jill Sutherland, known collectively as Staveley & Sutherland, are visionary artists whose collaborative practice spans evocative portraiture, large-scale photographic murals, and immersive installation. Their work dissolves the boundary between viewer and artwork, creating spaces for reflection, connection, and transformation.
Rooted in a shared commitment to storytelling and human connection, their imagery explores themes of identity, empowerment, and the unseen dimensions of the human experience. Whether through intimate portraiture or monumental environments, their work invites audiences into a deeper dialogue—with the art, with each other, and with themselves.
Their most recognized collaboration, Circle of Doors Tarot, is a traveling photographic installation and self-published tarot deck that has reached tens of thousands worldwide. The project merges fine art photography, archetypal symbolism, and participatory experience, offering a contemplative and interactive encounter with the Major Arcana.
In parallel, their LivinLarge Photo murals transform architectural spaces into immersive visual narratives, bringing large-scale photographic works into both public and private environments.
Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Topanga Canyon, California, Staveley & Sutherland continue to evolve a body of work that is both deeply personal and widely resonant—bridging art, ritual, and human connection.
