After more than twenty years in film production, Aurélie Lafourcade has developed a dedicated practice of drawing nudes from life and has trained in printmaking techniques.
Her work explores several dimensions: materiality, traces, time, the inner gesture, and impermanence. Through imprints and the layering of materials, Lafourcade explores an intimate—almost cosmological—geography, where the surface becomes the site of a dialogue between the visible and the invisible.
Each piece appears as a fragment of an inner landscape, a sensitive territory shaped by erosion and the elements of Nature, affirming the intrinsic bond connecting us to the living world.Intermingling inks and layered textures compose a true calligraphy of the soul, forging a link between matter and the realm of feeling.
