Elana Gor is a Canadian contemporary visual artist based in British Columbia whose practice brings together art, science, spirituality, and symbolic traditions. With a multidisciplinary background in science, continuing studies in painting and contemporary art at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, and years of independent study in Kabbalah, sacred geometry, mythology, and symbolism, Gor approaches painting as a way of exploring the hidden structures of life and consciousness. Working primarily in oil, acrylic, gold leaf, and mixed media, she combines contemporary surrealism, symbolic expressionism, metaphysical imagery, and abstraction. Her paintings often incorporate sacred geometry, ancient symbols, architectural forms, hidden figures, and recurring visual codes. Rather than illustrating a predetermined narrative, Elana Gor frequently works intuitively, allowing unexpected symbols and forms to emerge through the painting process. Central to her practice is the relationship between the visible and invisible worlds: the nature of the soul, transformation, memory, energy, consciousness, and humanity's connection to the universe. Many of her works function as visual meditations, inviting the viewer to move beyond the surface image and discover multiple layers of meaning. Elana Gor is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and has participated in exhibitions in Canada and international digital exhibitions. Her work has been presented at the Sidney and Gertrude Zack Gallery in Vancouver, Granville Island, and other art events, and her paintings are held in private collections in Canada, Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Kazakhstan.
