In the series “Courage,” Dörthe Fiwek works with black ink on a white background—a seemingly simple medium that nevertheless offers infinite possibilities for expression. The lines, splotches, and marks emerge through a free, gestural process. There is no predefined plan, no predetermined goal. Every stroke is a decision—spontaneous, courageous, and sometimes even daring.

The works are an invitation: to show courage.
