This print is the first etching I ever produced. It is the one that inspired me to set up the printmaking studio.
I sketched it in the summer, after watching the sunset in Lama, a beautiful village of Corsica. Light filters through the branches of an almond tree, while the distant mountains fade into shades of mist.
It is a quintessential Balagne landscape, evoking long summer evenings and the warm air rising from the sea.
