Through my illustrations, I seek to develop a unique universe, somewhere between dreams, fairy tales, and everyday life. I invite the viewer to enter a melancholic world, at times childlike, at times dreamlike, where nature finds its way in, and where every house, every object, carries the memory of a story. My work is characterized by a deep, warm color palette, created using watercolor and digital touch-ups on a graphics tablet. Dominated by greens, browns, ochres, and reds, it creates an atmosphere that is mysterious, comforting, and tinged with nostalgia. The richness of the linework and the abundance of ink-drawn details give the compositions an almost tactile quality : foliage, textiles, old façades, familiar objects, and small fragments of everyday life intertwine to create richly layered settings. I often portray myself through a character with long blond hair, alone or accompanied by animals that are, or have been, part of my life, preserving them in a suspended moment in time. They wander through wild landscapes, imaginary villages, and warm interiors, among cabins, gardens, attics, and houses glowing in the night. Like a journal of invented memories, my work explores the connection between people, nature, and imagination, giving particular importance to the small things : a lit window, a forgotten book, a cat, a harvest, a garden, or a path through the forest. Above all, my illustrations offer a contemplative experience : taking the time to look, to search for details, and to let oneself be told a story without it necessarily being written.
