Biografia

Eran Amar Shookroon is an artist of North African and Persian descent who discovered his artistic practice in adulthood after a career in real estate and studies in philosophy and political science. Working primarily with digital media, he creates images using minimal tools; a screen, a mouse, and a limited palette, transforming simplicity into an expressive visual language. Deeply influenced by his multicultural background and by music, particularly jazz and African rhythms, Shookroon’s works translate sound, memory, and lived experience into dynamic compositions of color and gesture. His practice combines spontaneity and reflection, creating images that evoke fragments of human presence and the emotional rhythm of everyday life. His debut "Engine on!" exhibition also marks an important moment in the artist’s career. As he prepares to open his first gallery in Milan, the city represents a new chapter in his creative life. For Shookroon, Milan is not only a cultural crossroads but also a place capable of generating new dialogues, encounters, and discoveries. Each exhibition, in this sense, is not simply a milestone but an opportunity to enter a new phase of research and exchange with the public. Shookroon’s works invite viewers to experience images in the same way one might experience music: through rhythm, emotion, and intuition. They remind us that creativity can emerge from the most unexpected moments and that even the simplest gesture, like moving a computer mouse, can open the door to an entirely new world of expression.
