Julia Gore–Koenig (also known as Goko Jun) is a French illustrator and graphic designer based in Amsterdam. Born in Vietnam and adopted into a French family, she studied graphic design in Nantes, before relocating to the Netherlands in 2021. She regularly sells and exhibits her art in markets across the Netherlands and abroad (like Paris and Berlin). Her work blends mythology, modern witches, and Japanese culture, featuring vibrant colors and grainy textures. As an Asian adoptee, she uses art to challenge stereotypes, promote self-love, and celebrate identity and sisterhood. She strives to reconnect with her emotional sensitivity by integrating themes of healing and spirituality into her work, using art as therapy and a way to connect authentically with others.
