Biografia

Munira and Heba Mubarak are visual artists based in Najan, Saudi Arabia, working collaboratively under their joint practice, Bayni wa Baynaha. Their work sits at the intersection of fine art photography and mixed media, translating memory, sensation, and interior experience into visual form.

Their images are built through a layered process — expressive hand movement, acrylic paint applied directly to the hand, controlled light, and garment color. The face covering is a deliberate conceptual choice: hiding individual features to open the image toward a universal human address.

Rooted in Najan, where both artists were raised, their practice draws on the landscape and rhythms of that place as an ongoing emotional reference. Self-taught, Munira and Heba have developed their visual language through sustained practice and the study of light and composition. Their studio is currently expanding into a public-facing space, offering workshops centered on art as human connection.
