Biografia
Klára Némethy is a Hungarian-born artist and curator based in Berlin. In her practice as both artist and curator, Némethy opens up spaces for new approaches to seeing and thinking within the creative process.
Her gaze is drawn to the fragile, ambivalent symbiosis between nature and human existence. Through abstraction, she creates dynamic forms, intense compositions of colour, and structures that evoke natural elements such as water, wood, sky, and earth. Némethy describes her artistic method as a continual process of zooming in and zooming out—a movement between proximity and distance through which she explores hidden connections.
Working across painting, drawing, watercolour and installation, she draws on natural forms and processes, tracing parallels between ecological and social systems. Often lyrical and meditative, her work considers cycles of growth, decay and regeneration as reflections on human vulnerability, transformation and interconnectedness.
