Descrizione: As a landscape architect, my deep appreciation for trees goes beyond their aesthetic appeal; I am fascinated by their resilience and the dynamic phases they experience throughout their lifecycle. Over the years, I have created an ongoing project to capture both the challenges trees endure and the moments in which they thrive. Oak Tree Mirage is visually divided into two parts: the top is an ethereal and almost dreamlike portrayal of the tree itself (what is above ground), while the bottom serves as a reference to an often-overlooked reality—the root system of most trees extends far beyond the visible canopy, anchoring and sustaining the tree in ways that are critical yet hidden beneath the surface. To emphasize the intricate and vital structure of this magnificent oak, I employed infrared colors. The infrared palette not only enhances the visual impact but also symbolizes the hidden energy and life force coursing through the tree’s veins, both above and below ground.
