A dancer cut from a Toulouse-Lautrec poster, an advertisement in which her body was the product, towers over visitors at a contemporary gallery. Every head is turned towards her. The gallery space promises a detached, educated way of looking, yet the crowd falls straight back into the logic of the cabaret. Looking at this crowd, we are no longer sure whether we are watching them or simply joining in.
