What I wanted to express here is that the distant city, quiet and still, is the city of my childhood. It feels both familiar and unreachable, suspended somewhere between reality and memory. There is a sense of distance that is not only physical, but also emotional, as if I am looking back at a place that still belongs to me while also feeling separated from it by time. Through rhythmic pointillist strokes, the scene seem to move and breathe, reflecting the constant passage of time and the shifting nature of emotion. The lake becomes a boundary between the self and the outside world, a space where the inner and outer landscapes meet. The changing reflections on the water suggest the way memories are never completely still, but continuously transformed by our present experiences. This painting is not simply about a physical place, but about the feelings attached to it, how the places we grow up in become part of us, shaping the way we experience, remember, and carry them within us.
