A figure is wrapped in a mass of cable-like forms, suggesting roots, nerves, serpents, and an externalized nervous system. Created in Istanbul in 2024, the image approaches identity as a struggle between what we inherit and what we attempt to shed. The dark environment does not offer escape; it turns the body into its own battleground. Yet the figure remains upright. The gesture is not simple collapse but resistance: an attempt to breathe through the structures that bind memory, fear, desire, and social expectation together. Mythologically, the looping forms recall the serpent as both danger and transformation. Psychologically, they embody thoughts that tighten when suppressed. Entanglement asks whether liberation means cutting every bond, or learning which connections belong to us and which were imposed.
</oembed>
