The childhood teddy bear acts as a transparent “receptacle,” exposing what society normally tries to conceal. Its transparency allows the viewer to see that the symbol of childhood innocence is literally filled with the chaos of consumerism. Plastic waste, discarded objects, and other remnants of consumption become part of the bear itself, transforming an object associated with comfort and protection into a representation of environmental inheritance. The work therefore suggests that children inherit not only the world we create for them, but also the pollution, excess, and disorder we leave behind.
