Lo smog danneggia sculture e facciate architettoniche corrodendole o annerendole, e ciò necessita interventi di pulizia e restauro che non sono mai completamente innocui per le opere. Omram consiste in una rosetta, elemento tipico di molte architetture, realizzata non in pietra bensì in lana infeltrita ad ago, quindi un materiale morbido e leggero, per rappresentare la fragilità e la vulnerabilità dell’arte rispetto all’inquinamento. Il concetto è rappresentato anche dal titolo, infatti la parola “omram” è il contrario di “marmo”.
