The female figure, with her back to a mirror, is dressed in blue, the colour of introspection and serenity. In the reflection, however, we do not see her face, but that of a lion: majestic, intense, with a penetrating gaze and an imposing mane. This contrast between the visible and the reflected reveals the inner essence of the woman portrayed — and, by extension, of my mother. The work invites the viewer to contemplate the invisible power that inhabits every being: the strength that cannot be seen, but can be felt; the silent roar of memory and love that remains. More than a painting, Reflection of the Soul is a tribute to the presence that transcends absence.
