Lore Carbajal is a visual artist originally from Argentina, now based in Kent, UK. She holds a BA in Visual Arts from the National University of San Juan, an MA in Fine Art (Art & Space) with Distinction from Kingston University, London, and an MA in Art & Design in Education with Distinction from the Institute of Education, UCL.
\nThroughout her career, Lore has developed art projects for major cultural institutions including Tate, the V&A, the National Gallery, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, The Francis Crick Institute and Queen Mary University of London. She has also worked extensively with primary and secondary schools across London and the South East. Among her awards, Lore received the prestigious UNESCO-Aschberg residency, which took her to the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin in 2005\/6 and again in 2009.
\nSix years ago, at a significant turning point in her personal life, Lore began walking a deeper spiritual path. It was at this time that she discovered tarot, and something shifted. She stopped making work about theory and began making work about the soul.
\nThe result is The Infinite Loop Tarot, a 78-card limited edition deck created entirely by hand using collage, paint, vintage photography, found images and scissors. No computers. No digital tools. Every original card is a unique handmade artwork, faithfully reproduced in print so the work can live in people’s hands.
\nThe deck carries a strong feminine energy, with beloved archetypes reimagined through the faces and forms of women, and nature woven through every image. It comes with a companion booklet of original haiku poems.
