Spanish-Swiss artist, interior architect and curator, born in 1970, he lives and works in Grandson, Switzerland, where his practice moves through ritual installation, painting, photography and text: participatory, processual works built from humble materials.<\/p>\n<p>For Ca\u00f1ete, art is a language of the threshold. His installations are not meant to be looked at: they are crossed, activated and altered by the passage of the visitor who enters them, spaces conceived as contemporary sanctuaries of silence, memory and the sacred. Shaped by Shint\u014d spatial grammar, each work unfolds as an approach, a threshold, a gesture of purification and an inner sanctuary, offering a simple vocabulary: tying, writing, suspending, lighting, placing, taking and leaving, so that each visitor can compose their own rite.<\/p>\n<p>Nourished by Jungian thought, his work turns symbol into lived experience. It questions destiny: its forks, its chances, the invisible forces that seem to orient our lives. The raven is the guide, the tree the axis, the page the memory, gold the revealing substance and the thread that binds us to others and to what we cannot name. Sound and scent sometimes extend the space as further sensory thresholds. The work is never complete without its viewer: what remains is the dialogue born between them, the moment that crystallizes into memory. All the rest is silence, the necessary void from which another path can still appear.<\/p>\n<p>Upcoming collective exhibitions include projects in Turin, Italy and Aranno, Switzerland, at the end of 2026. A solo exhibition is scheduled in Geneva in January 2027, and Ca\u00f1ete has been invited to the Biwako Biennale in Japan in October 2027.
