Mark Kenneth Bambico (b. 1979) is a Quezon City\u2013based artist,
\nanimator, and musician. For over 27 years, he has worked in the
\ncommercial animation industry, developing stories and characters
\nfor international productions while pursuing painting as a deeply
\npersonal creative practice.
\nHis paintings explore memory, identity, relationships, and everyday
\nhuman experience through expressive abstraction, instinctive
\ncolor, and layered imagery. While his professional animation career
\nhas largely been shaped by collaborative studio work, his personal
\nart has become a space to develop an independent visual language
\nrooted in emotion and observation.
\nMoving Grounds marks a new direction in Bambico’s practice\u2014
\nbringing together his painterly approach and decades of animation
\nexperience to create moving images that are distinctly his own. His
\npaintings have been exhibited in group exhibitions, including a
\nWomen’s Month exhibition in 2022, and in 2023 he presented an
\nonline solo exhibition inspired by musicians and performers.<\/p>\n
