Caio Costa Campos is a composer, improviser and researcher from Belo Horizonte, Brasil. Currently based in Beijing. He is a first year PKU PhD student in History and Theory of Art, with Masters in Music Composition from UT Austin and in Music – Analytical and Creative Processes from UFMG. His creative and research projects are directed towards the notions of performance composition and music as performance, engaging in a practice that does not know a priori what music is, differing radically from representational notions of music.
