Descrizione: \u201cNothing to Hide\u201d is a composition built around a \u201cflower frog\u201d, a reusable metal structure used to support and shape floral arrangements.
\nThe piece references earlier, more sustainable methods of flower arranging, when flower frogs were commonly used before the widespread introduction of synthetic floral foam in the 1950s.
\nToday, floral foam is widely used for its convenience, but it is also increasingly criticized for its environmental impact. Against the growing critique of single-use floral foam and the emerging \u201cNo Floral Foam\u201d movement, this work points back to reusable ways of building floral compositions.
\nThe arrangement inverts typical floral design practices in which support structures are usually hidden from view. Here, the mechanic \u2013 the flower frog \u2013 is deliberately exposed and becomes the central element of the composition, with nothing to hide.
