This visual body of work serves as an artistic documentation and an emotional inquiry into the layers of human grief when confronted with the devastating reality of a loved one\u2019s illness. The artwork stems from a deeply personal and transformative experience: accompanying our mother through the stages of chemotherapy. It observes the gradual \u201cwithering\u201d of her body and features\u2014a strange, unfamiliar fading that bore no resemblance to her vibrant spirit or the life she lived. The work traces these shifts: from the initial cling to hope and healing, to the agonizing moment the cancer took hold of her body, oscillating between her silent grief\u2014hidden behind a pale, weary smile\u2014and her brave attempts to accept reality and cherish moments with us.<\/p>\n
