Descrizione: This project brings together a series of watercolors that explore the body as a territory where memory, identity, and emotional experience converge. My inquiry begins by understanding anatomy as a sensitive cartography: a space where every lived experience leaves a mark and where emotions continue to be inscribed upon the skin. Within this exploration, fashion emerges as a symbolic extension of the body rather than merely an aesthetic element. Garments, volumes, and silhouettes engage in a dialogue with organic forms to construct a “second skin” capable of expressing vulnerability, transformation, and resilience. My interest lies not in depicting fashion as an object of consumption, but in understanding it as a visual language that communicates identity, memory, and the processes of change that shape the human experience.
\nThe two works presented here explore the relationship between body and attire from complementary perspectives. In the first, the figure transforms haute couture into a sculptural structure inspired by nature; here, color, silhouette, and ornamentation evoke a metamorphosis that oscillates between beauty and emotional collapse. In the second, the body is enveloped by organic forms that replace the face and emerge from within the figure, turning the attire into a metaphor for emotional bonds, vulnerability, and the difficulty of letting go of what wounds us.
