Arteaportè apre una nuova frontiera dell’arte contemporanea e sbarca a Gozo, Malta, con una mostra internazionale realizzata in collaborazione con ArtHall Gallery.
L’esclusivo spazio Con/Temporary Spaces ArtHall ospiterà la collettiva THE DIGITAL PANOPTICON: PLEASE, WATCH ME!, un’indagine artistica sul presente digitale e sull’identità contemporanea, sempre più esposta, osservata e filtrata.

La mostra prende spunto dal concetto di panopticon ideato da Jeremy Bentham: un carcere circolare con una torre centrale dalla quale è possibile osservare tutti i detenuti, senza che questi possano sapere se e quando sono sotto controllo. Oggi questo modello di sorveglianza è stato interiorizzato, trasformandosi in un desiderio volontario di esposizione totale. In un’epoca dominata da trasparenza radicale, tecnologie smart e intelligenza artificiale, cosa significa essere umani? Qual è il prezzo della piena visibilità e dell’efficienza assoluta? Questa call è un invito a interrogarsi sul nostro presente iperconnesso, riflettendo sulla progressiva perdita di profondità, complessità e narrativa.

Arteaportè opens a new frontier in contemporary art and lands in Gozo, Malta, with an international exhibition organized in collaboration with ArtHall Gallery.
The exclusive space Con/Temporary Spaces ArtHall will host the group exhibition THE DIGITAL PANOPTICON: PLEASE, WATCH ME!, an artistic investigation into the digital present and contemporary identity, which is increasingly exposed, observed, and filtered.

The exhibition is inspired by the concept of the panopticon developed by Jeremy Bentham: a circular prison with a central watchtower from which all inmates can be observed without knowing if or when they are being watched. Today, this model of surveillance has been internalized, transforming into a voluntary desire for total exposure. In an era dominated by radical transparency, smart technologies, and artificial intelligence, what does it mean to be human? What is the cost of full visibility and absolute efficiency?
This call invites artists to reflect on our hyperconnected present and the progressive loss of depth, complexity, and narrative.

Chi può partecipare?

La call è aperta ad artisti italiani e internazionali che operano nei campi della pittura, scultura, installazione, AI art e video arte.
Ogni artista potrà partecipare con un massimo di tre opere.

Come partecipare

Invia la tua candidatura compilando il form che segue entro il 10 agosto 2025.
Non dimenticare di includere:

  • Una breve biografia (max 300 parole).
  • Le immagini delle opere proposte (in bassa risoluzione per la candidatura, alta risoluzione sarà richiesta solo in caso di selezione).
  • La descrizione di ciascuna opera.

Fee di partecipazione

La quota di partecipazione, da versare solo in caso di selezione, è pari a €150 e dà diritto a esporre:

    • 2 opere di dimensioni max 40×50 cm
      oppure

    • 3 opere di dimensioni max 30×30 cm


Esposizione

Le opere degli artisti selezionati saranno esposte presso il Con/Temporary Spaces ArtHall, in 8, Triq Agius de Soldanis, Victoria, Gozo (Malta), dal 3 al 12 ottobre 2025, con chiusura nei giorni 6 e 7 ottobre.
Il vernissage si terrà venerdì 3 ottobre alle ore 19:30, offrendo agli artisti la possibilità di confrontarsi con il pubblico locale.

Who can apply?

The call is open to Italian and international artists working in painting, sculpture, installation, AI art, and video art.
Each artist may submit up to three works.

How to apply

Submit your application by filling out the form below by August 10, 2025.
Don’t forget to include:

  • A short bio (max 300 words)
  • Images of the proposed works (low resolution for the application; high resolution will be requested only if selected)
  • A description for each work

Participation fee

The participation fee, to be paid only if selected, is €150 and includes the exhibition of:

  • 2 works (maximum size 40×50 cm)
    or

  • 3 works (maximum size 30×30 cm)


Exhibition

The selected works will be exhibited at Con/Temporary Spaces ArtHall, 8, Triq Agius de Soldanis, Victoria, Gozo (Malta), from October 3 to 12, 2025 (closed on October 6 and 7).
The vernissage will take place on Friday, October 3 at 7:30 PM, offering artists the chance to engage with the local audience.
