Descrizione: “Finding Voice” is a visual exploration of the feminine journey, a process of confronting internal criticism and reclaiming the self from inherited narratives. In this work, the bathtub serves as a sanctuary and a vessel for the body, while the water symbolises the weight of ancestral beliefs and societal expectations we navigate daily.
Through a repetitive and intentional rowing movement, the performance captures a continuous reflective dialogue between the artist and her heritage. By consciously facing the light, the work seeks to illuminate the shadows behind us, embracing both imperfections and strengths. It is a profound meditation on the fluidity of feminine identity and the courage required to steer one’s own course in a turbulent world.
