“From Stem to Petal” is a piece that captures a brief moment when sunlight gently caresses the contours of a single dahlia. It was the way the light danced across the flower’s edges—illuminating the vibrant petals and casting subtle shadows along the slender stem—that first drew me in. As I studied the dahlia, I became fascinated by the delicate interplay between its vivid coloration and the graceful curve of its supporting stem, a relationship that balances both visual harmony and natural strength.

What continually captivates me is how a solitary bloom can embody both strength and fragility. The petals, soft and inviting, seem to float above the sturdy base that anchors them in place. In “From Stem to Petal,” I strive to convey not only the visual splendor but also the quiet energy that radiates from the flower, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the hidden worlds within nature’s simplest forms.
