Descrizione: My natural hair, which is about a meter long, is part of my identity—it has been with me my whole life and has shaped a unique, deeply personal perspective on the world.
This self-portrait triptych was created during my first years as an emigrant as an attempt to find inner stability and redefine myself in a new environment. The visual language of the work is built on sharp color contrasts: painfully raw, exposed emotions clash with the calm and profound unknown of a new world, akin to the ocean. The tension between red and blue conveys a sense of alienation, where the blue highlights in my hair become a symbol of the search for inner peace and harmony with my surroundings.
