Descrizione: Created during a family emergency, at a time of intense fear, sadness, and uncertainty. The red and black reflect feelings of anger and helplessness, while the blue represents my father, his favourite colour, and the deep emotional connection I share with him. The repeated eyes throughout the composition explore the idea of protection and an unseen presence. They represent my own constant vigilance as my father lay in his hospital bed, but also suggest a larger, spiritual force watching over him. As the eyes multiply, they become less individual and more like a collective presence — a network of guardians surrounding him. At the centre, the single eye acts as a symbol of consciousness, connection, and spiritual awareness. The energy radiating from it suggests that these connections extend beyond the physical body. The gold lines, of angelic protection, weave through the composition like spiritual pathways, connecting the figures and creating a sense of movement between the physical and unseen worlds.
